
The
United States Border Collie Club Prize for the
Highest-Scoring
Open Dog at the National Finals
This prize consists of $2,000.00 plus a trophy in the
form of a bronze sculpture of a working border collie, to be presented by the
USBCC to the handler of the highest-scoring open dog* in the top twenty round
at the 2004 USBCHA/ABCA National Sheepdog Finals.
The trophy may be retained until the following year’s Finals, at
which time the handler will receive a smaller bronze replica to be kept
forever.

Nursery Dog at the National Finals
This prize consists of $1,000.00, to be presented by
the USBCC to the handler of the highest-scoring (combined two scores) nursery
dog* at the 2004 USBCHA/ABCA National Sheepdog Finals.
The USBCC appreciates all the handlers who are
striving to develop the skills and natural talents of the working border
collie, and wishes them the best of luck in the Finals.

*Please note: Dogs
registered with the AKC are ineligible for these prizes.
The owner of the highest-scoring eligible dog will be asked to sign a
statement at the time the award is made certifying that the dog is not
registered with the AKC.
The USBCC is
dedicated to preserving the Border Collie as a working stockdog, promoting the
breeding only of sound and healthy animals free of genetic defects, and
encouraging Border Collie owners to work with their dogs in the many canine
sports at which Border Collies excel.
We oppose exhibition of Border Collies in conformation dog shows,
breeding to an appearance standard, or registration with any organization that
sanctions showing Border Collies in conformation classes.
