Cattle Committee  Conference Call

 Mike Canaday called meeting to order at 7 pm Central Time.

Merle motioned to accept minutes as read, seconded by Robin Nuffer. Motion passed.

Francis explained USBCHA & ABCA Directors were sent nomination forms for 2005 National Cattledog Finals.  She stated that this is the first time Directors have nominated Cattledog judges.  The committee felt that the Cattledog Committee should have some input as to the election of Cattledog judges.  Richard Belvin and Dan Gill have been nominated.  Merle stated he will be nominating Elvin Kopp as a judge. 

Robin motioned to select one of the three nominees to recommend for consideration that person to the Directors for the 2005 Cattledog judge, seconded Merle Newton.  Motion passed.

After a discussion a voice vote was taken on nominees for judges.  The Cattledog committee is recommending the Directors to consider Dan Gill as the 2005 cattledog judge.

Francis will be sending out entry forms by Dec. 15^th, and will also be posted on the web site.

Francis informed the committee that at the B/D meeting in Sturgis the Directors raised the entry fees to $200.00.

Course set up:  Merle suggested slanting the panels on the drive to improve depth perception and also adding an extra point panel above  first drive gate..  Jimmy Walker motioned to use the suggested course on the first go round, seconded Robin Nuffer.  Jimmy amended the motion to use extra point panels the second day.  Motion passed.  

Jimmy Walker will be looking into finding a set out crew for the Finals and report back to the committee after the Texas State Finals the last of November.

Chester moved to have a large time clock that spectators can see, seconded by Robin Nuffer.  Motion passed.  Chester will be in charge of supplying the clock. 

Wayne recommended Bill Campbell to announce the Finals.  Wayne will have him contact Francis with a bid.
