Bart is sired  by Quinn who was the 2004 Nursery Finals Champion.  Bart’s dam is Spin who placed 3rd in the 2001 Nursery Finals. Spin is out of my very first Border Collie.  I bred her to Quinn because he is a good dog and also a full brother to my first Open dog, Molly, a wonderful “do everything” dog.

 I sold Bart to an Open handler at 8 weeks.  She returned him two weeks later.  My grandson had begged me for a puppy so I gave Bart to him.  A year later the female from the same litter was killed in a freak accident.  My grandson asked if I wanted Bart back.  I immediately said “yes” before he changed his mind. 

 Alasdair took Bart in the beginning of 2007.  He came to the Bluegrass with the understanding that he might be coming home with me.  Alasdair was having some problems with him and did not know if Bart was going to overcome them.  Needless to say, he did.  Bart was overall Nursery and Pro Novice Champion at the Bluegrass.  Alasdair took him home from there and, as they say; the rest is history.

Bart is an easy going dog and very kind to his sheep.  Alasdair did a wonderful job training him.  I look forward to running him in Open.
