2002 National Cattledog Finals Information Sheet

Entry deadline Feb. 1, 2002 - Anyone may send their entry for the Cattledog Finals to the HA Secretary, who will accept the top 75 high point earning dogs who enter. In the event of a tie, all dogs tied at the 75 dog level will be accepted. If entry is not accepted fees will be returned. Entry fees deposit on March 15th. All qualified Nursery dogs may enter - two dogs per handler. No entries will be accepted after Feb. 1st.

Location Bud Finley Ranch, Benton, Arkansas
Directions Directions to trial field: Take exit 118 off I-30 in Benton, Arkansas, and go North on Congo Road. About 3 miles out, Congo Road comes to a "T". Turn right at the "T". Turn left at the next road. (Samples Road) Follow Samples Road to the trial field. Signs will be posted. It will be the next driveway to the right, past the "Twin Creek Ranch" sign. Signs will be posted from the overpass on I-30.
Starting time Thursday/Saturday 7 am - Handlers meeting 6:45.
Running order All Open will run first - then Nursery entries.
Course Outrun - 20 points, judged, Lift - 10 points, judged, Fetch - timed/points - 5 points per cattle.  Drive - two drive panels - 5 points per cattle.  Pen - timed/points - must pen all three to earn points. First go round - no pen. When cattle passes through drive panels, then comes back through panels all points will be lost.
Running order - Open Thursday - 1st go-round of open. Take back top 50 high scoring dogs for 2nd Open go round - Champion Finals (top 20) on Sunday - clean slate.
Running order - Nursery Two go-rounds, combined scores - top 10 to Finals - clean slate. If less than eleven (11) entries in Nursery the 2 go-rounds/finals will be combined scores to determine winner.
Premium Money Open - Total Premium $13,000.00 - Day money, top 15 day each go-round, combined scores, top 20 Championship Finals, clean slate. Nursery $3,000.00, 2 go-rounds, combined scores & top 10 to Finals.
Draw Open & Nursery draw will be posted Feb. 15th.
Entry fee $150.00 both open & nursery. Send registration papers with all entries. Pedigrees will be in trial program. No entries will be accepted after Feb. 1st.
