SANCTIONING OF OPEN/NURSERY TRIALS -
Sponsor’s Rights and
Responsibilities
These rules and
regulations apply only to HA sanctioned trials and approved events.
New trial hosts, as well
as existing hosts, must apply for sanctioning to the HA Secretary at
least thirty (30) days prior to the trial date.
If the HA Secretary deems it necessary, an Approval Trial Committee
will review the request and either approve or disapprove. Errors or
omissions by the trial host may be waived by the Trial Approval
Committee and their decision will be final. All trial information must
be published prior to the trial in at least one Border Collie
Magazine, or a local association newsletter, or a flyer to members in
that district. Upon request, the HA may furnish address labels to the
trial host for the district mailing.
New ruling
for Nursery trials.
Number of Nursery
Classes Permitted.
1. At a trial where no Open classes are offered, only one Nursery class
per day may be sanctioned.
2. At a trial where Open classes are offered, the total number of Nursery
classes sanctioned may not exceed the total number of days that the trial
is sanctioned for. The scheduling of the Nursery classes is at the
discretion of the trial host; however, no more than two sanctioned Nursery
classes may be run in one day
Sheepdog Trials: A
two (2) dollar per dog sanction fee shall be charged for each dog
entered in Open and Nursery Sheepdog competition at all sanctioned
trials.
Cattledog Trials: A
four (4) dollar per dog sanction fee shall be charged for each dog
entered in Open and Nursery Cattledog competition at all sanctioned
trials.
The sanctioning fee, along
with the trial results form is to be mailed to the HA Secretary’s office
not later than twenty one (21) days after the trial. The HA Secretary will
notify the sanctioning committee if trial management fails to abide by
this rule.
